Deadly Deals

Rate this book
Ellyria and Zangrunath get out from under Section Seven's thumb, and for the first time in years, things look up for the witch. Between her budding romance with the demon and her new college life, she's never been happier, except for the looming loss of the demon once their deal ends. The constant reminders add up, and she fears what will happen once she's left all alone again.

When an unexpected twist of fate leaves Ellyria disfigured and in agony, the pair seek assistance from the only ally who might know how to help. Lucifer himself has no obligations to assist them, except for his own hidden agendas. He could crush them both with a thought, but if they convince him otherwise, they'll owe the Devil himself a favor unlike anything the world has ever seen before. By comparison, the feat would make their struggles with blackmail, politics, and misogyny look like child's play.

This book was originally published as Ex Gratia, Book 2 of the Terms and Conditions trilogy.

McLeod, what do you put in your writing that makes me addicted to it? I loved this book so much. It's my favourite in the series so far, for sure. The development of our 2 characters was superb, and I'm really enjoying watching Ellyria grow into her power. I also really like how she holds herself against those who wish to silence or belittle her. She's the moment. She's an icon.

I'm trying my hardest to savour this series, I think about it often and really don't want it to ever end.

I love this book! I enjoyed the first one but I loved this one. This book has so much more character development and feeling in it. The only bad part about this book is that it ends. Thankfully, there is the third and final book!

Loved it as much as the first! Well worth the wait, but sadly for me I want more! Another well written book.

Ho-lee cow! This book was a rollercoaster. So much happened and there's so many questions still. I can't wait to read book 3. I was a little skeptical of Zane and Elly. Zelly? At first, but I love how their relationship develops from something more on the surface into a much deeper love. I felt every emotion reading this. I laughed, I cried. I was scared to death. And that ending!!! I'm not even mad. I just need to know more.

Ellyria an Zane's story continues throughout the next decade with more twists and turns bringing them closer to the end of their deal. Ellyria is working hard to reach her goal of becoming a successful contract lawyer and get that penthouse in NYC, but other demons and craftily worded contracts get in her way. You'll love Zane even more after this book, and this ending will push you right to the edge of your seat!! The tension between elly and Zane is apparent but McLeod keeps things clean with fade to black and is tastefully done. Can't wait to crack open the neck book!!!
