Each recipe starts with a title summary of the dish. To right hand side are servings, and some nutritional information: calories, protein, fats, fiber, carbs. To left of medium size color photo are prepare and cook times. To left under that is a list of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low fat, low sodium, low sugar and fresh vs canned items. Directions are under photo. My favorite would be baked fish. Zucchini bread would be my next, i make muffins out of the recipe and have when we take hikes. Carrot cake muffins would be popular also and pumpkin and carrot muffins. A KEEPER and I would be substituting with low fat, low sugar and low sodium products, nothing canned.
The recipes are interesting enough, and well-presented and illustrated. However, the Table of Contents is set up so that you can't go directly to a specific recipe. You must flip through each page of the entire book to find the recipe you want. With hundreds of recipes given, that's EXTREMELY inconvenient and time-consuming!
