Quadratic Forms--algebra, Arithmetic, and Geometry: Algebraic and Arithmetic Theory of Qudratic Forms, December 13 - 19, 2007 Frutillar, Chile

Rate this book
In the sequel to volume 344 of this series, the proceedings of the International Conference on the Algebraic and Arithmetic Theory of Quadratic Forms held in Chile in 2002, the editors introduce this collection of 25 papers from the 2007 conference. Contributors discuss and provide proofs for problems that have a key place in the history of the algebraic theory of quadratic forms or are classical problems in number theory, e.g., particular Witt kernals. The volume is dedicated to the memory of Martin Kneser, whose work on the theory of quadratic forms, the theory of algebraic groups, and their links is discussed herein. The authors' affiliations are only obliquely identified through the acknowledgments for their papers; there is no index. Annotation ©2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
