Barbara Bloomfield has written a superb book. Previously, surprisingly little has been written specifically for people who are new to the 'dating scene', having spent a large chunk of their life in a relationship. There is a myriad of information dating from the young, free and single perspective, but this book is perfect for anyone 'shaken up' by divorce or splitting up. When a long-term relationship or marriage goes sour, it can be extremely difficult from practical and emotional standpoint to get out there and meet someone. This book comforts by addressing all the issues.

It's reassuring, realistic and offers hope to anyone ready to take the first tentative steps towards finding not just another relationship, but love. A section of the book is given over to 'knowing yourself' and attitudes to self. Confidence and being comfortable which who you are - both are paramount in moving one's life along. Barbara explains this sensitively. It's metaphorical hand-holding at its best, and it feels as if Barbara is there by your side as you take the path towards love.
