Do you feel like God saved you but you need to finish your salvation? Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins, but its my responsibility to sanctify myself? What did Jesus mean when he said, " It is finished', when he died. What was finished? Read this book and discover the richness of your inheritance! What has Jesus purchased with his blood for you...
This book opened my eyes to knowledge that I did not have about all we have received because of the shed blood of Jesus. It also helped me understand what my part is in walking with Christ
Such a powerful message! A roadmap to clarify all that Jesus did on the cross for believers. The more I read, the more I wanted to keep reading. Highly recommend to all Christ followers!
"...the nine aspects of the exchange that took place when Jesus died on the cross:
1. Jesus was punished that I might be forgiven. 2. Jesus was wounded that I might be healed. 3. Jesus was made sin with my sinfulness that I might be made righteous with His righteousness. 4. Jesus died my death that I might share His life. 5. Jesus was made a curse that I might share His life. 6. Jesus endured my poverty that I might share His abundance. 7. Jesus bore my shame that I might share His glory. 8. Jesus endured my rejection that I might have His acceptance. 9. My old man was crucified in Him that the new man might come to life in me."
~ Derek Prince, "Atonement", p. 183-184
Why did I put this book, as a book in respect to my financial goals? The reason for this is because one of the things that was purchased on the cross was "Jesus endured our poverty that we might share His abundance". It other words, we don't have to be poor because Jesus became poor, that we may have abundance. Jesus said, "The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but I have come that you may have an abundant life" (See John 10:10). What does abundant mean? Abundant means, "more than enough". Jesus wants us to have have more than enough. Not to have more than enough to be selfish with, but so we can provide for ourselves and our families and others. It is hard to not have enough and be able to meet anyone's needs. We first require to have an abundance and then out of that abundance we can share with those who are in need.
I especially enjoyed the confessions that are included at the end of almost every chapter, that we can confess and begin to lay hold of our inheritance that was purchased for us at the cross.
