If you are a student of dressage, you might find this book's description of dressage movements too simplified; if on the otherhand you are often in the position of trying to describe the process of communicating complex movements to a student or fellow enthusiast, then this book should be your constant companion. It communicates and outlines the complexity of equine language in a way that is easy for the reader to absorb, and the book provides just enough information to prevent over-simplication of the maneuvers. In addition, the book reminds equestrians to continually learn. In my opinion this book should be in every equestrian's library regardless of equine discipline. These maneuvers should be mastered by students in every discipline because their mastery makes both the rider and horse more confident in the relationship.
Not as I expected. This book was rated well on Amazon but did not meet my expectations. An interesting read on training method but I have found "Kottas on Dressage" a better fit for what I was looking for in a dressage reference book.
