Now an Amazon bestselling author, Sylvia Price is an author of Amish and contemporary romance and women’s fiction. She especially loves writing uplifting stories about second chances!

Sylvia was inspired to write about the Amish as a result of the enduring legacy of Mennonite missionaries in her life. While living with them for three weeks, they got her a library card and encouraged her to start reading to cope with the loss of television and radio, giving Sylvia a new-found appreciation for books.

Although raised in the cosmopolitan city of Montréal, Sylvia spent her adolescent and young adult years in Nova Scotia, and the beautiful countryside landscapes and ocean views serve as the backdrop to her contemporary novels.

After meeting and falling in love with an American while living abroad, Sylvia now resides in the US. She spends her days writing, hoping to inspire the next generation to read more stories. When she’s not writing, Sylvia stays busy making sure her three young children are alive and well-fed.

I received an advance reader copy of Return to Yesterday from the author to review.

Miriam Yoder and Abe Schmidt have been avoiding each other for a while. Miriam feels terrible about how she treated Abe in the past by choosing another man to love over him. Miriam's four daughters know a little of the history of Abe and Miriam and want their mother to be happy again. Ever since Miriam lost her first husband, she and her daughters struggled to keep up with the farm and worked hard at the bakery.

Miriam's two oldest daughters have followed their dreams and have families, and they believe that there is happiness for Miriam. Miriam does not think she should have a relationship with Abe, but when she and Abe get a chance to talk, she finds that Abe still has feelings for her. Miriam's oldest daughter, Megan, gives her some advice on how Miriam always encouraged her daughters to go after their dreams. Megan also told her mother that she would not have had the courage to have a family if it hadn't been for Miriam's encouragement. Miriam then decides that she does want to pursue a relationship with Abe and wants a second chance at love.

I enjoyed this story very much and the message of going after your dreams and getting a second chance at love.

Some things come full circle.

Abe was once a beau for now widowed Miriam Yoder. Her daughter Josephine and her beau Matt are like family to Abe, and his best horse breeding workers.

As things get more long term serious for Josephine and Matt, Abe looks towards retirement, leaving a legacy, and the lonely life he leads outside of the young couple working with him and the horses.

Can past hurts be healed, as the girls become married women and spend less time at home with their mother? Could there be friendship or perhaps even a second chance romance where once there were broken hearts and hurt feelings?

All thing are possible with God.

Now how likely things might be when frail humans and they egos and emotions get involved- that is a different issue.

A nice wrap up to the Widow Yoder and her daughters series, and they all look to the next chapters in their lives.

This beautifully written Amish romance was the perfect conclusion to the must-read Yoder Family Saga that followed widow Miriam Yoder and her four unmarried daughters as they discover God's plan for them. I really loved getting to know this lovely family and felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster through their ups and downs. Ms. Price has certainly delivered a beautiful series for all who enjoy faith-based romance and would like to know a little about the Amish life. I received an advance reader copy of Return to Yesterday and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from Booksprout.co.
Great story
So sad that the series ends with this one, but it sure ended on a great note.

We've a "mature couple" in this story so the flightiness and game-playing is not evident. They might take a day or to to get to it, but they have the hard conversations and speak honestly... For that they get their long-overdue HEA.

Big event will be soon in Miriam family: Josephine wedding.
some misunderstanding could ruin all the joy.
speak and resolve problems are the solution, but it's not so simple.
The past and the pain could be forgotten and forgiven.
Nice end of the seire, life could be difficult, but a strong family helps!

This is the final book in the series The Yoder Family Saga. It is not disappointing. Sylvia Price has done a marvelous job of bringing the Yoder family through the trials of living after the death of the husband/father in the prequel. The events leading up to the final state of the family held surprises as well as some situations that were predictable. True to her writing style, the story is wholesome and stays in reference to their faith in God. I strongly recommend it but I suggest you get the entire series and read it in order to glean the most from the paths that were followed by the Yoder women. Excellent series… thanks Sylvia Price.
