Virtue of Chaos
Kaylin did the impossible when she kept the Ascendency from ripping apart the galaxy.
Stealing the deadly Virtue of War might have been the greatest heist of her thieving career, except that she was captured. Now a prisoner of the Ascendency, Kaylin finds herself whisked away from Earth and taken to the alien planet Skarlin, where the universe's top scientists are working to replicate the deadly technology used in the Virtues.
If they're successful, the Ascendency will become unstoppable.
That leaves Kaylin with only one option—break free from her captors and sabotage their labs, destroying the Virtues once and for all. It seems like an impossible task. But luckily, those are her specialty.

Aliens and humans alike fight over a powerful relic in this action packed science fiction story. This book is long, and that isn’t a bad thing, but it does take a bit longer to finish. This is the second book in the series, so I’d recommend reading the first book first. You’ll enjoy it even more if you’ve read any of the Syndicate Wars books.
I would consider these books appropriate for anyone with the attention span to read a book of this length. Probably a bit much for younger kids (and a bit violent too), older kids and adults should be fine.

Even better than the 1st
This book was even better than the 1st book Virtue of War. The action was pretty much non stop and the characters really meshed together to make a great team. The weapons and the sci-fi gadgets they used were really cool. I hope this series continues with many more virtues to hunt down.

Not your typical save the Earth, science fiction?
Militia have been fighting aliens to save Earth for some time now.
Now has come and even more difficult battle where Earth has two join forces with an alien race to save the whole universe against another alien rage ( the Ascendancy).
Very interesting story of a race to secure an ancient weapon before its secrets are revealed.

Great books
The two books in this series are great. Action, plot, and story line are all blended into a riviting quest. Hard to to put these books down. Hopefully there are more in the horizon. Would make a really good series as this group seek the other Virutes.
