Awakened Alpha by Chloe Vincent is a book that is part of the Guardian of Mates Agency series. This story is like an interesting combination in which the Sleeping Beauty and Snow White fairytales were mixed together. Instead of fairy godmothers there are guardian angels and instead of princesses and princes the main characters falling in love are shifters. The one thing I didn’t like is that this story has a very slow and meticulous buildup that I found just a bit tedious to read. However, if you are looking for a story that is very sweet, fairytale like, and has a happy ever after ending than this book is for you. Awakened Alpha is a different kind of shifter mate fairy tale.

Sam is a lion shifter trapped in a coma by the evil that killed his pride. He somehow is aware of what is going on around him, including the compassionate physical therapist. Gwen feels a pull toward the handsome patient. Delilah really has her work cut out for her on this one. Chloe Vincent has written such likable characters, I wanted them to have their HEA. Awakened Alpha is an enjoyable novel which I recommend.

Great story with a bit of suspense!

These stories seem to be getting better and better. Gwen is a vibrant physical therapist, who feels something for Sam, a fellow mountain lion shifter who is in a coma. Delilah is the most unusual matchmaker in the world! Even though Sam is in a coma, we get to see his point of view, too. He is a guardian against dark magic. The pace is fast, the tone is hopeful and the storyline is character oriented with some action, some steamy scenes and chuckles! If this sounds good to you, then try this series! Enjoy!

I openly admit that I was confused when I began this book, but as the story opens up it is a beautiful one. The sub story is also a really wonderful one, and I hope it will be made into its own novelette. In our world, filled with so much hate and madness, it’s beautiful to see goodness, even if it’s only a fiction. I love this story.

This is book three in this series. Delilah “works” for the mating agency and she’s given a couple to help realize they are mates. Sam and Gwen are the couple in this book. They are both mountain lions shifters, he is also a Guardian in addition to being in a magic induced coma. Interesting and cute story with excellent characters. Good read!

Great addition to the Paranormal Romance genre!

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.

The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind. Their attitudes toward the events that are happening makes the story even richer.

I loved this book! Gwen and Sam were perfect for each other. Sam had lost so much but gained just as much in the end. Even Delish earned some points toward her redemption by helping them. You won't be bored with this book.

I very much enjoyed both the main story that was embedded in the overall theme of creating redemption in the afterlife, which you get at the beginning and end.

I was not so thrilled with the editing - missed words in sentences, wrong words used, miss-spelled words … there were a lot throughout this book. Please would the author use better editors or proofreaders?

[Marianne]

I liked this story! It was sweet and interesting. It's a wonderful way to start a romance... by connecting with them in a coma.

Awakened Alpha

Delilah is funny as heck. She is one crazy guardian angel, but she got her job done. I loved the love between Sam and Gwen. They were drawn to each other, even though Sam was stuck in limbo.
