The first third is stunning, and full of eye-opening insights about what's always irked me about Indian English fiction. That handful of essays finally helped me articulate what I had signed up for the course to learn. It should really have been First Module Required Reading instead of that stupid overrated Rushdie. I agree, I agree, I agree!
