It's sad that this book getting low ratings while being compared to newer books. This is a book that discusses layers in a very old PS version and it was up to the mark when released.

I've just finished Scott Kelby's fantastic photoshop cs4 reference, a playful, yet spot on guide. Frankly, I only read half of this book - it was so dry. It is not written in a teaching tone but rather just do this - do that - couldn't get through it.
