This volume completes the second edition of the Atlas of Polymer and Plastics Analysis. It contains all the essential information that the polymer analyst requires on classical chemical, physical, pyrolytic and chromatographic methods. Conventional and computer- assisted (FT)-Infrared Spectroscopy are described in particular detail. A separate chapter on the relationship between vibrational spectra and structure aids the interpretation of more than 6000 IR and Raman spectra presented in previous volumes.
Other important spectroscopic methods (MS, NMR, Raman, UV, XPS/ESCA) are discussed in detail, the examples selected being taken from the latest literature. Practical and theoretical aspects are given equal emphasis. This work is not only for polymer specialists, but for all analysts interested in modern methods.
This volume of the Atlas of Polymer and Plastics Analysis is complemented by a separate classified bibliography. It contains a well arranged collection of the complete titles of books, monographs and original work on the subject matter of this atlas.
Literature published up to 1987 has been included. The reader is thus given the possibility of enlarging his own collection of literature and literature references.
