April 15, 2020Strangely a lot shorter than I expected. It’s clearly of its time, but is still useful for the process of looking and generating ideas about works of art. Approach to writing is similar to what I’ve heard from lecturers. I’m now more interested in books that teach writing from a stylistic point of view rather than academic and ideas point of view.

Absolute rubbish. This book was a recommended text from my art history professor, but I wish I would have just saved myself the $10 that it obviously wasn't worth. This book provides no help with writing in regards to art history. The information was very general, almost like a manual for an elementary level writing course. If you don't know how to write a college essay whatsoever, I still wouldn't recommend you this book. Even the MLA information is wrong. Please save yourself the time and money.
