A matchmaking cat may be Jefferson’s only hope for a happily ever after. Of course, the kitten he just adopted may destroy that happily ever after before it ever begins.
Jefferson wasn’t thrilled when his sister-in-law hired a new receptionist for his auto repair shop without first consulting him. He was even more annoyed when he realized the new hire was a bear, and not just any bear. She was Kate Worcester of the Worcester bears and even worse, the only sister of Mason Worcester, the scariest grizzly of them all. And to top it all off, Jefferson was pretty sure Kate Worcester was his mate.
Kate Worcester was sick of her brother’s interference in her life. His latest antics included tossing a client out a window simply because he was standing too close to his baby sister. If the only way she could end this ridiculousness was to quit her job and go to work for a panther mechanic, then that’s what she’d do. Even better if that mechanic turned out to be her mate.
Cleocatra has a mission: keep Jefferson to herself. He’s her human companion and no one else’s. That bear needs to go find herself someone else to snuggle up to because Jefferson belongs to this kitten and no one else!
Sadly, Pepper was not born a shifter. She dreams of being adopted (or mated) by one, but until such a glorious day arrives, she consoles herself by writing about shifters instead.
Either that, or she really IS a shifter and is just pretending NOT to be a shifter, to protect her people.
Whether the former or the latter is anyone's guess, but either way, she's living her absolute best possible shifter-life.
This was funny except it didn't have nearly the same punch as the first book in the series where Maggie was so in sync with Ghengus Cat for top notch humor. Maggie made that book shine just as much as the cats did. This didn't have as much humor because Kate and Jefferson seemed positively normal in comparison. Mason was barely a blip of a character and about half way through the book its like McGraw got bored and just start summarizing the actual romance part of her romance novel. Cleocatra also not nearly as interesting as Ghengis Cat. The kitten was self centered and just sort of obnoxious after a bit. In the beginning her antics were cute but then they got repetitive and most were told about rather than shown. I bought the entire series last night after reading the first book so I hope this doesn't end up being a trend of going downhill as the series progesses.
What do you have with a garage full of cats, most of them invisible, a panther shifter, bear shifter (or two) and several wolf shifters, plus an unsociable human? Absolute chaos and a whole lot of fun! Not to mention sexy shenanigans. Very enjoyable.
Jefferson’s sister-in-law goes behind his back to hire a receptionist for his auto repair shop. The problem is, she hired Kate Worcester, the only sister of extremely protective and violent Mason Worcester, a grizzly shifter who has been known to throw clients out the window if they stand too close to Kate! And then Jefferson finds out something even more fatal to him -- Kate Worcester is his mate.
Kate was tired of her brother interfering in her life, so she quit her job and was hired to work for a panther shifter. If she thought her brother interfered, wait until she crosses paths with Cleocatra, a kitten who is tasked with finding a match for her human companion. But the kitten won’t share Jefferson. He belongs to her and that bear is not welcome. How will Fate get the mates together with a fierce little furball sabotaging everything?
Fun book with great characters and a well-written story line will take the reader on an exciting romp watching the shenanigans of a possessive kitten. Grab your copy and enjoy!
Jefferson wasn't happy when his sister-in-law hired a new receptionist for his auto repair shop without his input. It's even worse when he sees the new hire is Kate Worcester of the Worcester bears. But he's more than surprised when he discovers that she's his mate. Kate is tired of her controlling brother so she quits and is more than happy to work for the panther, especially when she discovers that he's her mate. There's just one tiny thing in the way of their happiness ~ Jefferson's small, black kitten, Cleocatra, who believes Jefferson is her human and she doesn't want to share.
I really enjoyed this book which features shifters and matchmaking cats. What could be better? The book was well-written with wonderful characters. I was drawn into this enchanting read from the start and kept hooked through to the finish. I'm absolutely looking forward to more from this series and highly recommend this book.
I enjoyed the story loved all of the shifter and regular characters and for the most part all of the cats. Loved the heat between the to mates and how a kitten interferes. Lots of fun and steamy times. Hope Mason gets his own book. Only dislike Bygul, just did not like him. And I loved all the other cats, and cats in general.

Seing how she behaves, Cleocatra definitely earned her name good. I am not entirely sure she isn’t the reincarnation of the famous Egyptian femme fatale… So many laughs in such a small book ! It’s hilarious. I very much liked passing my time with those mechanics. And I for my part very much like Mason, even if there’s a certain risk for the windows every time he’s around… Enjoy your read !

The importance of hiring the right person This begins with herding cats – literally. A cat ‘trying to wrangle fifty matchmaking cats into a semblance of order.’ Yeah, now THEY know what it feels like…
LOVE the idea of ‘Wolf Down Wednesday’! Every company should do that for its employees…as well as Therapy Thursday and Feast on Friday and
With a good dose of mischief and humour and a fantastic dose of heat this is certainly one of those books that captures the attention. I loved the cat and the situations that arose because of it and the shifter element.
This book was delicious. I loved all of it, from the sister in law hiring the first person to show interest in the receptionist job without knowing anything about them, to Kate the Grizzly totally reworking the office to her needs without contacting the boss. So funny! The cats were adorable.
