This book was not easy to read. I was quite certain the author was writing in a chicklit style, for advanced readers. Think Milan Kundera style. Later as I neared the end it got easier, perhaps due to recognition and understanding of items discussed. Well travelled, Teske speaks of many architectural designs and describes them in terms of shapes. If you did not know of them, the symbolism would likely go above your consciousness. I appreciated the new perspective on things, however. This is not your average FS book!
I reckon this needs about 3 readings to be able to get a 50% gist of it. To be frank I did not always know what I was reading. Thus 2 stars - "'twas ok". Me thinks the author's voice was a blend of his advanced FS knowledge and his travelogue and Tao Te Ching interests, conversational-style. Not for the beginner to intermediate.
