* Separate chapter on “Blood Vessels” provides expanded coverage on examination of the vascular system. * “Evidence-Based Practice in Physical Examination” boxes present solid, current research and, where appropriate, point to changes in practice. * “Clinical Pearls” boxes dispense time-tested wisdom from the author team. * Content on abnormalities, while still strong, has been carefully refined to reduce coverage of very low frequency, esoteric abnormalities. * Signs of male and the female abuse receive expanded coverage. * A new appendix addresses Anthropometric Measurements.
Very thorough and detailed. Easy to read and follow. As a person mostly interested in pediatrics, I am always a bit miffed at the small blurbs at the end of the chapter describing any changes for children, but this was a little more detailed. The chapter in the back summarizing how to complete an entire exam on a pediatric patient was very thorough and appreciated.
