A.K. Summer

AK Summer was born and grew up in South London. She lives there with her husband and an elderly, fussy cat. She has spent many years working in universities in London and so was inspired to set her mysteries in the fictional university of Corner Rise.

Corner Rise is a fictional archipelago of islands in the Atlantic. There is a corner seamount but, sadly, this does not form any islands.

Outside of reading and writing cosy mysteries, AK Summer enjoys sailing and watercolours. It was while sailing from St. Martin in the Caribbean to the Azores that she crossed Corner Seamount and was inspired to set her university on some islands based on the seamount.

Enjoyable cozy. I did have trouble visualizing the University and personally would have liked a map of the island/university. I really enjoyed the characters and would have liked to know more about them.
I can see a lot of potential for additional stories at Corner Rise.

This makes for a very enjoyable cosy mystery. The characters are very well constructed and the story moves along well with an exciting denouement. I look forward to reading more from this author!

2.5 stars. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher. Quick, easy read. Seems like no one at this university worked. All anyone did constantly was take breaks. The fact that a hurricane came and went within like a 3 hour period seems pretty unrealistic. Book was just mediocre.

Interesting little cozy read that takes place at a university. The characters personalities fit well with the setting and the story line.
