Alissa and her group just can't catch a break, every time things are looking up, they get thrown into another horrifying fight for survival. Some epic deaths and sad losses later, Alissa is ready to battle more waste of skin survivors who threaten the ones she loves. Another emotionally charged, character driven tale by Baker. I highly recommend this series if you love the zombie genre.
This is an action packed ride through a zombie apocalypse. And outstanding cast of characters and a great storyline. Alicia was an ER nurse working a shift in a hospital in Boston when the zombie apocalypse broke out. She lived about 40 miles outside of Boston on a small island with a small causeway access. After the apocalypse broke out she tried to reach her home to save her cat and figure out what to do to survive. Along the way she had to fight and kill to survive. She also picked up if you other survivors and the journey begin. She was heading to a cabin up in the woods of New Hampshire that was stocked and out in the middle of nowhere. Along with her other friends and survivors they were able to stay there for a while until the apocalypse cut up to them. Once again they are on the move and fighting the zombies and fighting the evil people they will always come out during an apocalypse. You’ll find many characters to love and many to hate but do not get too attached to any of them as it is a zombie apocalypse and people and characters will die. Read on and find out what happens to the survivors in this group and see where they’re going to head next. Will they make it with they fall you shall soon find out. One thing you do not want to do is piss off Alyssa and get on her bad side.
This series just keeps getting better with each book. As always, it was a fast-paced thrill ride from start to finish. I hate when main characters are killed off. It still would be a great story if they had not been killed. Oh well that’s just my opinion. Now back to my review, a lot happened in this book. New additions were added to the group, they leave the cabin and hit the road. Get the book and see what happens. If you have not read any of Scott’s books, then you are missing out on a great author. Get the books and leave your reviews.
I was hoping that they at least make it to White Sands without incident. I was really disappointed that Monica didn't make a break to the other side. And the only thing that kept me interested in continuing to the next book was Alyssa making the comment at the end...
I've enjoyed this entire series thus far. I almost cringe when reading a fight scene because I'm so afraid of one of my favorite characters being killed; to me, that's a sign the author got you to give a shit about the character they created!
Scott M. Baker has hit it out of the park with this episode in Alyssa's life. I love the characters and the action in this book and the series in general. I consider it a must read.
Another good read!! The story is interesting and it’s hard to wait for the next book!! There were a few errors in this book. They called Connie Colleen and I was totally confused for a minute! I can’t wait to find out what happens next!!
The survivor's are having a really hard time of it at the moment. We have said goodbye to some characters and met with some new ones . The story is fast paced and Well written a must read for any reader of post apocalyptic zombie books.
Teaming up with Alissa seems to decrease chances of survival
I like the story line. I'm a nurse so that got my attention. I have noted that any new characters are most likely going to die. I like how the bad guys death are detailed. Lol. I would love to see her have a break.
Alyssa is one bad momma in a good way. Quick wit, good decisions in the worst of scenarios in a ZA. Some friends will be lost and some new ones found. I loved this book because there is so much to unpack and discover about yourself an h a nice hot cup of coffee.
Great book. I’m having so much fun immersing myself in the lives of Alissa and the group. This one was action packed and a bit sad. I can’t wait to read number 8!!
