كتاب رائع جداً..لكن يجب أن تكون مهتم بالسياسة..بل مهتم كثيراً حتى تستمتع به.

الكتاب أكاديمي بحت.. بُذل فيه مجهود جبار دون أدنى شك، وهو اشبه بالمرجع الصغير.

يحمل الكثير من الأفكار السياسية وعلاقتها بالحضارة ومفهوم كل أمه وكيفيه تطور الوعي والمنطلق السياسي ودورها الحضاري.


بصراحة..الكتاب قمه بالمتعة..لكنه صعب..صعب الفهم لحد كبير.. وتطلب مني أحياناً قرأة الفقرات مراراً لافهما.

هناك مصطلحات ومفاهيم بعيدة عن ما نعرفه في حقل السياسة المبسط جداً الذي نعرفه. في هذا الكتاب تأكد لي أن هناك شيء إسمه "علم السياسة".
صعوبة القرأة ..ربما الترجمة لم تكن ممتازة..رغم انه واضح أن المترجم بذل جهده فيه، خصوصاً بإختيار كتاب اكاديمي.


بالمجمل.. ساعيد قرأة الكتاب مره أخرى..وهذا شيء نادر جداً عندي.

الكتاب طويل وجاف وموجه أكثر لطلاب التخصص

لكن لا يخلو من متعة وبالأخص في تحليل البعد الحضاري للسياسة الخارجية للولايات المتحدة وأوروبا واليابان، وفي الفصل الأخير ايضا

يختلف الباحثون في الكتاب (وهم ثمانية) مع فرضية صدام الحضارات لهنتنغتون بشكل كلي وبعضهم بشكل جزئي، فيتم الحديث عن كون الصدام يحدث في معظم الأوقات داخل الحضارات لا بينها، وفي موضع آخر يناقش الكتاب بأن: اقتباس: "الحضارات كيانات مركبة ومتغايرة مؤهلة لأن تتطور في اتجاهات متنوعة.. ليست الحضارات منظومات مغلقة مثل كرات البلياردو بل هي منفذة ومنفتحة على التأثيرات الخارجية"..... كما يناقش الكتاب أطروحات هنتنغتون ويرد عليها بنقاط أخرى على طول الكتاب

يقول مؤلف الكتاب انه قام بتطور سلسلة محاضرات عن السياسة الخارجية الأمريكية نائيا بنفسه (كما يقول) عن تبني مفهوم النزعة الاستثنائية رحت أفكر في افضل طرق الامساك بتميز أمريكا ومهما كانت تبايناتهم حول الخصوصيات فان دراسي التطور السياسي والسياسة الخارجية الأمريكيين يسارعون من دون تردد الى التوافق مع روجرز سميث حول وجود كثرة من النوامس في ماضي أمريكا .

الكتاب مفيد من ناحية الوعى لكل حضارة ذات وحدة سياسية قديما او حديثا ودورها الحضارى
