If you are looking for a children’s book full of imagination, magic and adventure then this is a good one to read. It’s a story about a grandfather and his grandson. They build a blanket fort that turns magical and as they sleep it takes them into a different world. Charlie, the grandson, is a creative kid too. What I loved about Charlie is his imagination and all the names he has made up. Those names are also the names of the folks in this magical world, like Po Po, Sneener, Goo Goo Ga Gus, Snakey and Idaho Joe. Grandpa and Charlie have to find Blue Bill and the adventure takes off.

The author dedicates this book to his grandson who inspired him to write this story. That made me smile because when I visit my young grandchildren, I make up a bedtime story that I tell them, but my story is about four fairies that go on wild adventures. We add to the story every night that I visit. I can imagine the author and his grandson having similar experiences. The book is under 100 pages and I appreciated the larger print for these grandpa eyes. So, a young reader all the way up to an old grandpa can read it pretty easily.
