Reading Volume Four, Number 4, Fall 2011: The Future. 222 pages of articles, excerpts, poems, side bars, illustrations, and photos trying to define what The Future exactly is...over the past 2,000 and more years. Aeschylus has a say, as does deTocqueville, Ada Lovelace, Gandhi, Wells, Philip K. Dick, Bradbury, and so many others. Reading through these irrudite passages is like coming across Godiva chocolates after having known only Nestle's.

Vol V, No 1: FAMILY
So far, brilliant as always.

Update: Lapham's is always a wonderful collection, but this volume on Family was loaded with fabulous gems including several examples of Roman Emperors (my current obsession) and a poem by Philip Larkin which I would not dare to repeat here. But it was memorable! Outstanding "magazine", which at 221 pages I will count as a book.
