"Big Easy" is the third book in the Cowboy Craze series and it was a fantastic read. This is the story of Easy Blackhawk and Jewel Baptiste and it has a lot going on in it. Easy is in South Louisiana working on Philip McCoys ranch, he needed a little time and space away from his family. Jewel just happens to be the girl next door and Easy knows there is something really special about her time they meet, but she knows his reputation with women and wants nothing to do with him. Easy feels like she can see right through him and she possibly can, she reads palms among other things. Jewel tries her best to help everyone in their little town, but some people are just down right mean to her, because of something her mother did years ago, but that doesn't stop Jewel from trying to help everyone that she can. More than once Easy has to step in to save her, he always happens to be in the right place at the exact time she needs him.
Anyway there are some very evil people around and Jewel finds herself right in the middle of horrific murders that are going on, bodies being found with unspeakable things done to them, and Jewel knows who the murderer is, but who will believe her?
This is a long read but a fantastic read. I loved the characters, well maybe not the evil ones but her mom, Hazel and Cotton were great, especially Cotton. I loved the nickname Easy gave Jewel, and although Easy went through some tough times in this book, he had friends and family that had his back the whole time.
This book is loaded with passion, hot romance, suspense, and paranormal activity, after all it is set in Louisiana! Highly recommended.

Well done and spooky, this one steps into the paranormal and the reader will love it. While there is some real evil here-all human- the real story is filled with good guys. Ezekiel Blackhawk has come hto Louisiana to help Philip McCoy revive Belle Chasse, his childhood home. Easy feels the need to make something of himself away from his brothers, and rents a home in Thibodaux. His landlady lives next door and Easy is immediately taken by her cool perusal of him. She is a card reader with some psychic powers and she is immediately leery of Easy and his Lothario reputation. They begin to accept each other and when trouble arrives, they face it together. At times, it seems that it's too much for them to handle, but Philip, Zane Saucier, and some other friends stand with them.

WOW what a tale - this latest release from Ms Hunter took me through a whole range of emotions.
Love it, a great long read giving you ample opportunity to become fully immersed in their lives and what lives they lead!
This is cross over from the very popular Hell Yeah and Cowboy Craze series and it was great to have a catch-up on characters from both these series.
I now want to know more about Jewel & Easy, how their story continues after this book has ended and more information Hazel, Jewel's mother, as well as Cotton - you'll have to read the book to find out about him.
A delightful tale full of Ms Hunter's expert storytelling, magic, and drama

Big Easy is book 3 in the Cowboy Craze Series. This is the story of Easy Blackhawk and Jewel Baptiste. It is set in South Louisiana on Philip McCoy’s Belle Chasse Ranch. Easy rents a house to stay in while working on the ranch and it turns out his landlady is Jewel. This story has a lot going on and so good I could not put it down. It had friends from other series and new ones. It was full of suspense, twists and turns and of course being set in Louisiana a little paranormal. There were times I was on the edge of my seat and times I was laughing out loud. Sable Hunter has done a great job with Easy and Jewel’s story and I can’t wait to see what is next.

Ghost story

This story is an intriguing blend of reformed bad boy, psychic abilities, ghost stories, paranormal interactions, danger, and hoodoo/voodoo. Jewel is immersed in the mystical world and continues to face a scandal caused by her mother. Easy is a love em and leave em cowboy who is visiting to help a friend and to get away from his guilt over his father's death. Both are swept into a local murder mystery.

The heat between them is scorching and Jewel's reluctance to get her heart involved is grating after awhile. Both are painfully slow to admit their feelings.

The history is interesting as well as the ongoing glimpse into the paranormal world.

"Big Easy" (Cowboy Craze Book 3) by Sable Hunter is a fantastic read. I absolutely loved Easy and Jewel's story. This is a wonderful addition to the Cowboy Craze series. This story is full of romance, passion, twists and turns, interesting characters, cowboys, hoodoo, paranormal, suspense, and more. I loved getting to catch up with some of my favorite characters from the Cowboy Craze series, and the Hell Yeah series, as well. I can't wait to see what happens next! Highly recommend to all fans of romance, cowboys, and series.

Too long

Let me start by saying I love Sable Hunter books. This one, however, left me tired. The characters were likeable. The emotions were rich. She sets a beautiful scene. But this books seemed to drag with unnecessary filler. So many moments that didn't particularly help drive the plot line made this book longer than necessary.

At the crux of the story was a murder mystery. Besides necromancer between Jewel and Easy, that was the heart of the matter but while it came up, it didn't really get going until the last quarter of the book.

This was a hard one for me.

I love Sable Hunter's romance and sexy stories. Easy is one of the sweetest, sexiest manwhores you'll ever run across. But he's met his match when he rents a house from Jewel who lives next door. Easy takes it upon himself to be her protector and friend, but as you can guess, she is also his downfall that turns him away from his manwhore ways. There is evil in Lousiana and it is coming after Jewel, but Easy is determined to thwart it and keep her safe.

Sable Hunter's mix of paranormal and romance hit all the right buttons for me.
Easy is the love 'em and leave 'em guy women want to change into "the one", but no way is he ready for that. Learning why he is afraid of commitment made my heartache.
When he meets Jewel, his psychic landlady, all bets are off. You can't fight chemistry and these two have it in spades.
You're going to love reading Jewel and Easy's story.

I reakly liked it is too much, but I kikedd it is too less. so it would be a 3.5 stars.
the story was interesting , and I am not usually reading fantasy and witchcraft, but I appreciate the gift of Jewel and all the infos given by the author. I found some parts a bit too long and the last dialogue vefire the épilogue too "lalala-landish".

A good and (too ?) long read.
again I have a problem with this kind of cover, the models are fine, but is their stripped chest a must?

Big Easy...one of Sable Hunter’s best to date! OMG! She’s easily one of my top favorite authors but this one, just WOW. The amount of detail in this book makes you, as the read, transfer right into the scenes with the characters! She excelled in writing paranormal/love stories and this one is definitely on the top of the list! Such an awesome read! Great addition to the series!

Not bad. A little too long in length but decent story with plenty of drama and action and romance. Easy falls for the local palm reader, Jewel. The town has some really bad men including the Hill brothers who try to frame our hero for their wrongdoings.

Sable Hunter - Big Easy (Cowboy Craze Series – 3) Apr 28, 2019

The new spin-off, Cowboy Craze, is from Ms. Hunters’ famous “Hell Yeah” Series that follows four (4) half-apache Blackhawk brothers, Daniel, Samual, Ezekiel, and Benajmin who work on their family ranch together.

I read three (3) books in the series, and they have one thing in common, they don’t “feel” like Ms. Hunter’s writing compared to her other books. Each book is much longer in length, with multiple spelling errors. A good editor should have caught these. In a few instances, a name for a person was the wrong name, which was downright annoying.

There were so many lengthy sex scenes that it became monotonous. Don’t get me wrong, I love a great sex scene, after all, why else do you buy Romance books if not for these delicious scenes. But, after a while, I started skipping through them because they were the same scene different day. There was a perfect mystery in each book, which could have been really good if the length and sex scenes overshadowed the mystery. But, again, each stage was very long until I got tired of all the details and finished by scanning.

I am disappointed because the Blackhawk brothers were great, and they chose wonderful females that were strong and gutsy. I cannot recommend this series, which makes me sad because I love so many other of Ms. Hunter’s books/series. I am uncertain if I will read the fourth installment starring Samual.
