Michael Cycle (aka Mike Bike, aka Bike Rider) discovers that the school’s star quarterback has been cheating on tests. He confronts the athlete and the football player is benched. Justice is served (but the school loses the football championship as a result).
The format will appeal to young readers, but the thinly disguised lecture about cheating and academic integrity may not. Despite the appealing graphics, humorous one-liners, puns, and double-entendres, this is still pedantic.
The novel includes discussion questions and a glossary.
