Frightmares
The book is a collection of short horror stories with varying themes and characters. Two stories are set in the old West. One is about a gunfighter who finally gets his due in a strange town at the edge of hell. Another is about a gang of outlaws who encounter an invisible menacing force in the desert. There is a story about love that never dies, even after death, and one about a killer stuck in his own horror. Another has an obsessed scientist searching for a lost civilization who finds more than he bargained for, and finally there is a story set in a fictional galaxy and a war between worlds that takes one hero to a sinister planet to find the way to bring peace, only to discover a terror that is seemingly unstoppable.
