Sentenced to Death is set in the present day as justice reveals a corrupt sense of reasoning with the issue of women and the death penalty, featuring a young attorney who finds himself in a circle of blind justice that leads him to a destructive path.

At Raven Oaks, where the ruthless, powerful rich judge, Oliver Spears, lives and dominates the town of Galtonia Mississippi, a make-believe murder takes place. Oliver's son Jonathan Spears, is believed to be dead, while his wife Victoria Spears, takes the blame as she pleads self-defense at the so-called murder, she is sentenced to death by a paid-off ring of Justice Syndicates who is helping Oliver frame her. Dalton McIntyre is supposedly Oliver Spears' nephew, but the secret reveals that he is indeed Jonathan Spears' and Jasmine Carmichael's love child raised as a nephew by Oliver Spears. Dalton as the main character with the help of a detective acquaintance, Marlow Chase, discovers and unravels the truth about the mafia-like justice system of Galtonia in a most unusual way.

About the Author:

Joy Robertson was born in an army hospital in Fort Campbell, KY, while her father served during the Vietnam War. She now lives in Batesville, MS, where she works at a local timber company. Her goal is to become a full time writer. "Writing is more than a hobby it is a dream."
