Timid Timmy

Rate this book
Timmy is a very timid little hare. He longs to be brave like his friend Rocket. Rocket is fearless. He leaps over water-filled ditches in a single bound, skips through a herd of cows, teases wild boars. And he isn't even afraid to cross the deep, dark forest alone. Timmy knows he will never be that bold and daring. But Timmy discovers that his own seemingly small act of courage--telling the truth--is the stuff of true bravery.

Timmy is a very shy and reserved bunny. He longs to be brave like his friend Rocket. TImmy's mother reassures him that he is brave; maybe not as daring as Rocket, but brave in his own right.

One afternoon Timmy finds a pile of carrots outside the bunny den. He's very hungry so he eats every single one. When dinner time for the family comes around, his mother asks who ate all the corrots. Timmy can't make himself admit that he did it. But that night he finds that he can't sleep. He finds his mother and tells her that he ate all the carrots. His mother tells him that he is very brave for telling the truth.

This book is adorable. The illustrations are beautiful and Timmy is so cute. It does a great way showing how being honest and doing the right thing shows bravery. I really loved it. I'd give it 5 stars if Good Reads wasn't being glitchy!
