He began his work as a community news reporter in Atlanta with Creative Loafing. Later, in Marin County, he founded Signal Newspapers, which were published in Sausalito, Tiburon, and Belvedere, California.
He and his wife, novelist Josie Brown, live in the city of San Francisco, where their grown children also reside.

One of the best of the best in the Murder in Marin Mystery Series?
Martin Brown again takes you on a well researched tour of Sausalito and the plausible escapades of small town politics. The south Marin city is a perfect backdrop for murder and intrigue. Martin again develops and provides an interesting foundation of a new set of characters that draws you in. You can’t always trust the reputation of any Mayor, the smaller the city, the larger lust for power - and money! Looking for the another addition to a great series!

This is another easy read. I have read all of his Marin Mysteries and have enjoyed them. His are the books that I read when I want something to read in a few hours. The 3 friends, the sheriff, the paper owner and his assistant are in all the books and you know that they are going to solve the crime, but it is always fun to see how they solve it and who the murdered is. I love this area of California and have taken many trips there and it is always enjoyable to read about.
