Broken Night

Rate this book
Broken Night follows Janice Rosse, a young, rich girl from New York City who is imprisoned for the murders of her three friends. However, she claims they were really killed by something supernatural, something that they conjured one night while attending a bizarre performance art show.Byron is a True Crime writer, who, deciding that there is a book in the girl's bizarre story, begins to interview Janice, feeling an instant connection with the young murderess. After hearing her story (and having a few strange visions himself), he assists Janice in a prison break, setting her loose to go back to where it all began, a nondescript house in the nearby suburbs.

This was a great story! From the first chapter to the very end I was hooked! Seeing how the story went from interviews with a prisoner who may or may not be a killer, to them facing the evil that was the real driving force between the horrors that happened was something that I absolutely loved.

Check it out!

A chilling and unforgettable ride

ASH pulls you into the shadows from the very first page and refuses to let go. Brandon Ebinger weaves a haunting tale of innocence corrupted, manipulation, and the terrifying grip of an ancient evil.

The isolated forest setting feels alive, oppressive, eerie, and almost a character in its own right. The young protagonist’s struggle between devotion and destruction is as heartbreaking as it is gripping, and “The Game” is one of the most unsettling rituals I’ve ever read about.

What makes ASH stand out is the emotional undercurrent beneath the horror. It’s not just about the scares, it’s about loyalty, survival, and the faint glimmer of humanity that refuses to die, even when darkness is closing in.

This is a fast-paced, unnerving thriller that lingers in your mind long after the last page. If you’re ready to question the line between devotion and destruction, ASH is a must-read.

Short chapters, easy to read and follow, with POVs from multiple characters. Well written - didn't want to put it down. The right amount of thriller, horror and creepiness. Not at all what I was expecting & that's a good thing! I loved the incorporation of 'Broken Night' in the story.
