Not gonna lie, I was ready to roast Starters after the first few chapters. Too many characters, too many names, too much throat-clearing. But Rick Stein eventually untangles it, and the last third hits different. Worth it if you can survive the setup, skip it if you bail when you're confused.

Not gonna lie, I judged Starters by its first ten pages and I was wrong. Rick Stein hides the good stuff behind a stiff opening, like a bouncer who doesn't know you yet. Once you're in, it's a blast. Worth it for the stubborn, skip if you ditch books fast.
