John has been an adjunct college professor for more than 30 years with The University of P. John Brunstetter, Phd. California, the University of San Francisco, California Polytechnic University, and Saddleback Community College.
One of John’s long-term clients has been the Ken Blanchard Companies where he has served as a technology provider for almost 10 years. Working closely with Francisco Gomez in their Office of the Future, Dr. John has provided the automated version of the Spanish Communications DNA Profile to Blanchard’s Latin American clients. In addition to serving many small to middle market companies over the past decade, Dr. John has been an Organizational Development (OD) Consultant to WD-40, Qualcomm and a variety of high-tech and manufacturing companies. Dr. John is also working to provide communications technology and training to The Stewardship Alliance, Ronald Blue and Company, Family Wealth Partners and other wealth planning companies. These organizations also use the communications technology to develop and grow relationships with internal staff and external clients.
Prior to his mid career Ph.D. in OD from The Fielding Graduate University, John held senior leadership positions with Fluor Corporation, Warner Lambert, and P. John Brunstetter, Phd. Firestone. He has been active in professional development community serving as the President of The American Society for Training and Development (Orange County CA Chapter) and PIRA (Personnel and Industrial Relations Association).
John and his wife Carolyn reside in Charlotte NC and have 7 children and 14 grandchildren. Their daughters Teresa and Dana are continuing the family teaching tradition started by John’s parents, “Doc” who taught at Columbia and NYU; and June who began teaching in primary education after receiving a Masters in Education in her late 60s. Daughter Teresa is a Chemistry professor at Saddleback Community College (Calif.) and expects to complete her Ph.D. in 2012. Dana who completes her Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education from Liberty University (Va.) in December 2011 expects to be teaching professionally soon thereafter. Dana recently returned from a stimulating and empowering summer ESL training program she conducted for Chinese children in Hong Kong sponsored by the English Language Institute of China.
