Interesting take
I love modern-set fantasy and this fits that bill perfectly. It’s an interesting premise, for sure, and a reasonably fun read. However, I’m only giving 3 stars for a few reasons— the pacing is a bit off(though it definitely gets better as it goes), there’s a few things that could use some fleshing out, and and I recommend a proofreader (if not an editor).
All in all, though, this is not a bad story and one anyone that enjoys fantasy should pick up.
