Did this book have useful information and tools I can apply to my profession? Yes. Did it have irrelevant information that didn't apply to me? Sometimes. Did I find myself still thinking about this book after I put it down? Not really.
Now if I were a Literacy Coach that literally was just surviving, maybe this book would be a godsend - but every time "partnership" was discussed, it felt like like a partnership and more like pandering to teacher or administration no matter how much the author swore that wasn't the case. The reality is that if you don't like to work with people, or can't check your ego out the door, you probably shouldn't be coaching and thus shouldn't need a book like this.
