Michelle Ziegler is a new author to me and this is such a fantastic story I loved it. Ethan is a firefighter and a wolf shifter who needs and wants a mate, Olivia is a baker and a witch she takes the cakes next door to the firehouse and while she is there she looks over the yummy firefighters. When Ethan see’s Olivia he knows that she is his mate and he does the unthinkable he bonds with Olivia without her permission. I loved these two characters they were funny and very steamy together, a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Honestly - does nobody ever pay any attention to grammar, spelling, word choice, and punctuation?

It's not enough to run a story through a simple editing software that only recognizes words by phonetics and doesn't get the context of a sentence. Even for a free book, the author should go through the trouble of proof reading after the editing process. After all, she/he wants to attract new readers, right? It seems there are loads and lods of readers who just want a free story, giving them 4 or 5 star ratings - but I know just as many who wouldn't even have bothered reading more than a chapter or two.

Yes, I finished the book. Yes, I liked the idea of the story. But I didn't enjoy the hang-ups and the sentences I had to read twice because there were commas missing or that had the wrong words in them (e.g. buy instead of by, pecks instead of pecs...).

A Clumsy witch and a wolf shifter, plus a bakery that decidedly gets better as their relationship progresses. Follow the antics and hilarity as this budding relationship immediately explodes on the page. A great story, great characters, and a great story line. A good read!

Icing on his mate is the first book of Michelle Ziegler’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining. This story is short, fast paced and an entertaining read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout.
On paper Ethan and Olivia wouldn’t go together. Ethan is an alpha wolf shifter and Olivia is a clumsy witch. But they made a cute couple.
The chemistry between Olivia and Ethan builds at first but soon is so clear to see. I liked the build up to Ethan claiming his mate. I did think that Ethan was wrong for claiming Olivia without telling her. That being said, I liked that her magic fully came to her after the claiming bite. I freaking loved the scene where Olivia stormed off to confront Ethan at the firehouse. I loved how angry she was but I did feel a little bit sorry for her. Overall, I really enjoyed this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an entertaining read.

A really enjoyable book, 2 totally different people, well a shifter, who means well, & a Witch, with questionable powers & no idea about how shifters mate or what it actually entails, find out through trial and error, what having a mate really means. I loved how the characters were written along with the story line, Ethan & Olivia both had alot to learn, but everything came together to create a HEA. Looking forward to reading more from Michelle Ziegler & definitely more stories about the Pike Valley Pack & those sexy firefighters Ethan works with. I've already read this book twice.

A seemingly clumsy witch and a disillusioned alpha wolf-shifter should have nothing in common, but fate decides differently and when a heated moment leads to the wolf claiming the witch as his mate - without her consent - then that leads to a lot of chaos before fate can run its proper course.
A simple story - but funny to read and making a litttle fun of the stereo-typical behaviour in shifter novels, which brings some extra entertainment.
A really enjoyable read.

Luckily this was read through KU.
Okay this is supposedly book one in this series but Raine and Kian from book two, are mated and expecting a cub in this book.
Enjoyable enough easy coffee time read but I found Ethan extremely weak for an alpha and his actions towards Olivia showed he had little control and sense.
Olivia seemed to improve during the story, except for the obligatory running away and getting taken by the baddie scene
Once again this author’s book needed better proofreading, way too many silly errors allowed through.

Wonderful!

I loved reading this book! The instant irresistible mate pull takes this couple down a very twisted path that made me smile so many times. Not just a grin but a full out smile that makes your cheeks hurt!

This is a great story, very fast paced and filled with tension and misunderstandings that careen out of control at times. Through it all, they discover that they are stronger than either believed they could be.

Caution: The love scenes are well-written, intense, and hotter than Hades! Definitely rated mature readers only!

A cute witch meets a hunky wolf shifter.

I loved this book. Olivia started out broken and became stronger as the book progressed. Her magic as a witch has been weak. Ethan, Alpha wolf shifter, recognizes his mate and looses control, claiming Olivia the first time they are together. Olivia can't understand why her magic is suddenly strong, but the sex with Ethan was so hot she can only think about him! Ethan is trying to get everything explained but things keep getting more complicated.

This is a cute fun read. I laughed out loud read parts to my family to make them laugh.
Olivia is a witch with little magic and a baker. She meets Ethan when she give a cake to the firemen.
Ethan is the alpha of his wolf pack and knows Olivia is his mate the minute the meet, almost.
Take a trip with them on their journey, you will be glad you did.

I liked the writing, it’s light which makes reading fun.


When Ethan and Olivia met, it was lust or love(?) at first sight. It’s kinda funny how they can’t seem to bear losing sight of the other, I guess that’s because they are mates. But as alpha, Ethan, has a lot of hard decisions to make. It wasn’t easy but he made the best of it and I loved him for that. he deserved Olivia, his child and his hea.

I really liked the heroine and I mostly liked the hero. I wish the 'alpha' hero had been a little more alpha though. He had so little self confidence and was a little whiny, well his inner thoughts were anyway. He was still a likable guy though so the book only lost half a star for his non-alpha-ness. That's not a word, is it? LOL. Enjoy.

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.

The potential was there, but this book was in need of heavy editing. It read like paragraphs were missing and at times it felt like we were just expected to know back story or information about a character that had never been provided.
