Just so you know, this 37-page—as the PDF version I received to review had—book really isn't about mind manipulation. It is truly only about hypnosis, which is one form of mind manipulation. I think the title and subtitle should have been switched! This book is actually an odd grab bag of hypnosis topics, and as such, I think it has only limited application. Parts of the book, especially in the beginning, seem to assume that you are going to hypnotize people. For instance, there are instructions about how a hypnotherapist should inform and question a client before a session. One chapter that looked from the table of contents to have some interest, the one on the top 10 magic words for hypnosis, was actually laughable. The 10 words given simply help the person being hypnotized get deeper into it. There's no magic here. The second-to-last chapter focuses on self-hypnosis and anxiety, but only for two-and-a-half pages. Certainly not enough to be practical or usable! Much like the rest of this book, unfortunately. If you are interested in a book on hypnosis, I recommend looking for a different one.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
This book does an excellent job presenting an overview of various kinds of hypnosis and a sort of preview about how each works. Reading or listening to this book will not make you a master hypnotist, but it may demystify the process and guide you in the direction of learning. If you are interested in hypnosis but not experienced, then this book may be for you.
I feel after reading your book that my understanding of hypnosis has improved greatly! My objective was to learn techniques for self hypnosis and self improvement!! Your ideas sound solid and I am starting my self hypnosis today!! Thank you!!!
I really enjoyed reading this and trying the techniques described by the author. It was easy to follow I will be trying out all of these techniques in the coming months
