Carol Vorderman's Summer Detox
Following on from Carol's sucessful "Detox for Life", this mini detox offers an eating programme designed specifically for those who are keen to detox in order to look and feel their best in time for their summer holidays. At only 14 days, the diet is half the length of the original plan and so offers a more accessible option for readers wanting to ready themselves for the poolside and beach. The book includes dozens of healthy recipes that make use of the fresh fruit and vegetables that are available and affordable in the spring and summer months. There are ideas for breakfasts, salads, summer soups, smoothies, desserts and snacks, plus testimonies from people who have benefited from the diet.

This is the first detox that I had ever embarked on and it has actually completed changed the way I eat.
Prior to this detox my idea of healthy eating was low calorie and to aim for 5 portions of fruit and veg, however after trying this detox I felt SOOO healthy and full of energy that I realised that the goal of regulating what you eat isn't simply to get thin, but to be really healthy and to feel that good. Definitely the best "diet" I ever tried. This detox is not extreme in any way and it is possible to follow the principals of the diet for the rest of your life without feeling deprived. The receipes are delicious and you will enjoy the benefits so much that you won't want to eat unhealthy foods and if you do they'll make you feel awful.
After experiencing the detox I have cut out animal milk and yogurts & aim towards eating detox friendly foods. I would consider this almost to be the most perfect way of eating- apart from I would cut pasta and potatoes and include fish.
