A well-written, highly descriptive story of Kenneth, an English writer hitting a dry patch, who is dispatched by his publisher to the Greek Island of Spetses, Readers are taken on a tour of the island and nearby locations when the reserved Kenneth discovers his muse, Kyria, a mysterious woman to whom he is strongly attracted. But is she attracted to him? She intrigues him but she won’t reveal her past and the islanders aren’t telling either. The author’s experience of the island and her knowledge of Greek history pervade the story and add depth to Kenneth and Kyria’s relationship. What is the mystery behind the woman he dubs the Ice Queen due to her coolness toward him? How will be the result of Kenneth’s fascination with Kyria? Recommended for those who like a story as relaxed as life on Spetses itself.
