This book contains practical processes, practices and lessons learned to help organizations put social media to work helping their employees collaborate, communicate and innovate. This book contains valuable insights into embedding social into everyday functions and managing that change. Great examples throughout about how different industries are leveraging the power of social to transform their businesses. The last sentence in the book sums it all up. "We are convinced that through social media, individuals in organizations—whether in large corporations, small entrepreneurial endeavors, or community networks—can contribute significantly, achieving more together than separately. None of us is as strong as all of us."

Excellent book. It goes beyond the talk about Social Media concepts and brings excellent advices and guidelines for implementing social media inside organizations.
The book is focused in the "internal" usage of social media and the practical cases mentioned help to support the validity of the theory and guidelines.

Much of the content was a refresher for me. The content was pretty good. Writing was engaging.

I give the book extremely high marks because it's the first one I've seen that takes a view of social media from the perspective of enabling good talent management and organizational effectiveness. It is neither a technical manual, nor a promo for the latest app. Rather, it gives a timeless and clear view of the powerful role that social media is playing in helping individuals, teams, and leaders collectively transform work and life in organizations of the future.

This book gives examples of how to use social media to improve work within an organization. The examples they use were tired, the subject matter not explored to the depth I would have liked. This book might be useful to someone who knows nothing of the collaborative tools available to business.

Some sound advice on how to get social media going at work. They also look at "trailblazers" - companies that are setting the bar for social media usage in the workplace.
