Wish There Were More To It
This book has riddles and jokes, each page with its own theme (like “Time for School” or “Surrender”), and now and then it also has a word search page. The word searches appear to have themes, too, though they are not stated at the top, like vacation and creatures/monsters. It would have been nice to have a meaningful title for these pages instead of just “Find-A-Word.” The word search grids could also have been bigger, allowing for more and longer words. The riddles and jokes are often puns. I wish each type of brain teaser had its own pages, as one might be in the mood for a bunch of riddles at one time—as two of my great-nieces often are. I did find one error, as one riddle essentially said that a piano has 28 keys. A full-sized piano has 88, and even the smallest keyboards usually have more than 28! The book is only 24 pages long, so you get little bang for your buck, so to speak. What was there, however, I enjoyed.
