This is a great supernatural story set in modern-day Texas. Jim gets drawn into a world where creatures from Slavic myth, both good and evil, are real. The action scenes have just the right amount of detail to pull you in, with excellent pacing. The characters are the heart of the book. They’re well written and developed, bringing the story to life. They act heroically and look out for each other, with the homestead acting as a warm, comfortable hub from which they make their stand against the lurking horrors!

Good, Fun Urban Fantasy

Compares favorably to Butcher. Good story, mythology, and just a fun read. Characters are realistic and vivid. I hope the author writes more in this series.
