This book gives you a good overview of the SOA Suite 11g. It does not aim to go deep into the details and therefore is a good entry level book. On the other hand, you need to complement it with the official documentation and additional books to become well versed.

The online complement section is currently a mess. It took me some searching to find the current location of the files. Formatting of the online documents is horrible. It is not cohesive and bug ridden. Although I do believe, trying to figure out what is wrong helps you gain experience.

This book could have been much shorter since most of the book is repeated in more detail in the online complement. For the ones who only want to get a basic understanding of the SOA Suite, the book is enough. For the rest of us, it becomes repetitive and boring at times.
