Studies on John and A Decade of Scholarship gathers together fifteen of Andreas J. Köstenberger’s essays from 1991 to 2000 on two major topics, John’s Gospel and gender roles in the church. Part 1 «Studies on John» features an introduction to John’s Gospel, a chapter chronicling early doubts of the Fourth Gospel’s apostolic authorship, and a comparison of the anointing pericopae in John and the Synoptics as well as treatments of Jesus as rabbi, his «signs,» the «greater works» of the believer, and the two Johannine verbs for sending.
