This is a book with English words in it. It was lent to me, coming highly recommended. I can't decide if I'm too stupid or too smart to understand what the sentences mean. But the whole thing was entirely incomprehensible to me. I read all the words though, mainly because of the metaphor of a garden and I compulsively started gardening, planting seeds (yes, at the start of winter) again and I thought maybe a light-bulb moment would happen by the last chapter, which is titled "The Garden". Alas. No such moment. I suspect that the work to be done is the same as in Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach.
Struggling with mental health problems and want to add even more confusion to your life? This is the book for you.
I am guessing this book was written with the emotional-minded in mind. Being very much an analytical-minded person myself, this was way too difficult to get my head around.
This is one of the greatest little books I've ever read. It is simplistic in it's truth, childlike in it's beauty, and timeless in it's wisdom. I suggest everyone read it and then read it again. Keep reading it through out your lifetime. It will grow with you, and keep you young, as well. Lorna S.
