Angie Daniels grew up on the South side of Chicago, Illinois. At a very early age, she spent nights creating soap operas with her younger sister until the two drifted off to sleep. Never did she realize that her longtime dream to become a published author would someday become a reality.
In 1999 Angie decided it was finally time to return to her love of writing. She took a year off to write her first book Intimate Intentions, which started off as a simple romance novel and later escalated into 542 pages of romantic suspense. After two submissions, Angie was offered a four-book contract with Genesis Press and her first book was released in 2001. In 2003, she also signed with BET Arabesque, and Kensington's Dafina imprint in 2004. In 2006, she added Parker Publishing, Aphrodisia and Harlequin Kimani Romance to her list. In 2010 she will release her twentieth novel. Angie currently resides in Missouri.
Ever since tomboyish, twenty-five year old Jesse James can remember, her father has ruled over her and treated her like the son he never had, including giving her his name. When he dies, she decides to move back home to restore Katherine's, the dilapidated family-owned bed and breakfast. After the reading of his will, Jesse finds that even in death, her father still manages to have total control of her life. In order for her to receive the money needed to restore the bed and breakfast, Jesse will have to either get married or give birth to a male child before her twenty-sixth birthday. Knowing full well she doesn't want to be tied down with a member of the opposite sex, she decides on the latter. Jesse's only dilemma will be finding someone to father her child without knowing it. William 'Will' Jones awakens from a night of unbridled sex with Jesse--sans protection--to find himself in bed alone. He wonders why Jesse would offer him her virginal body, and then just up and leave without so much as a goodbye. After Will finds a thank-you note written on the back of a gas receipt in the bathroom, he realizes that he's been used. Although Will would like nothing more than to see Jesse again, his main concern is finding out what kind of game she is playing and whether or not she's carrying his child. Utilizing the location on the gas receipt, it doesn't take him long to track Jesse down. When Will arrives at Katherine's, he is prepared to stay for as long as it takes Jesse to reveal the reason for her deception. This is the second novel I've read by Ms. Daniels and she has yet to disappoint. 'A Will To Love' is a very entertaining romance with a quite a few little twists and turns. A page turner from beginning to end. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed bonding with them throughout this novel. The storyline flowed nicely and was very believable. Daniels does a fantastic job in capturing and holding the reader's attention. The passion and heat between Will and Jesse just leapt off the pages. It was excitingly erotic, yet had just the right amount of sweet sensuality for the hopeless romantic. Will was protrayed as a strong and caring black man, who definitely had it goin' on and believed his word was his honor and taking care of his responsibilities. And I love the way Jesse although she was very independent, she was still very much a lady and liked the way Will took the lead when needed. This was a very well written story. Looking forward to reading more from Ms. Daniels. I highly recommend you read this novel. You won't be disappointed.
Minus the fact there were multiple proof reading errors. Missing sentences/sentences with no beginning and extra words that were not in proper order. Despite these issues, I enjoyed the story itself. It is certainly an modern day arranged marriage between consenting adults. Although the result of 'love of a lifetime' the telling of the story was pleasant. The journey of course had its issues as expected. Jesse of course a strong willed young woman trying to live a life to prove to her father that she can be better than any son he would have had. Will was just a man that wanted to enjoy life as a musician and eventually turn to teaching what he loved.
With a chance encounter with a fortuneteller Jesse life takes on a different meaning. She was not sure how this was going to change her life until faced with the possibilities. the possibilities of love ever after. With these possibilities came a future neither thought of while planning the arranged marriage.
