★★★★★ "I have enjoyed this book so much. The personalities of the characters are realistic. The intimate moments are beautifully written; I sighed and smiled from the obvious love and emotions portrayed. Pell has truly grown into a self-confident and strong young woman." - Peggy Frese, Senior Editor ★★★★★ "I love this version of Pell! She is becoming a woman on her own in another world but with the help of Harpoc as a guide/mentor she is maturing quickly." - Denae D., Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★ "I've never been hooked on a series as I am with this one where I'm desperate to get the next book!" - Krystal S., Amazon Reviewer

When she says she'll deliver, boy does L.R.W. Lee DELIVER! At the end of book 2, I was surprised by how much I wanted to see Pell stand on her own two feet and really be the badass I knew she could be. Book 3 solves a lot of backstories which helped me enjoy the supporting roles much more! The stories also give Pell more closure and that helps her gain more mettle. There are so many twists and turns in this story that she needed tougher skin to handle all that comes her way. The guys are steamy, the gals are adventurous, so like me, I doubt you'll want to put this book down! I cannot imagine what else L.R.W. Lee has in store for us, but I can't wait!
What. A. Rollercoaster. If I thought the second one was good this one got better and more intense. I just couldn’t stop. ... I regret nothing! Once you start you won’t want to stop. Compelling characters and deep plots that only thicken as you dive ever deeper. Mysteries get solved only for new ones to pop up. Surprises at every turn. Pell is a smart and brave girl... immortal being. She knows how to get things done and how to get things she needs. She’ll stop at nothing to see things be fair. A thrilling ride and all I want is more. Forever to have more.
After Pell is kidnapped she wakes up in the Empire of Glass and she searches for answers to who her parents are so she can break the secret so Harpoc can rescue her. Love the way the characters have grown throughout this series and how things have been put into play all of Pells life and no one knew until now. I am guessing there is at least one more book to come as this ends and a cliffhanger so I will wait patiently. I listened to the audiobook version.
“Empire of Glass” is the third installment in the “God of Secrets”, an epic fantasy series focused in Pell’s development through her relationship with Hapoc and her adventures in the Realms. As we encountered Pell (Empire of Ash), we meet an apparently very strong character with a no-nonsense approach, likeable in extreme and the perfect embodiment of a paranormal romance strong female heroine. Nevertheless, Pell is in fact a shy character, who has been already hurt in the past and blends behind the persona created by her professional career. In the second book of the series “Empire of Secrets”, Pell shyness is more apparent, after all she is thrown in an alien environment, with a very different set of rules, where she can’t rely in her professional know-how, but must instead rely heavily on Hapoc. As Pell get abducted for a second time, rip apart from Hapoc and ends up in Glass, she can solely rely on herself, but this Pell has developed through her experience in Secrets and become a very strong woman once more, capable of rapidly assessing the situation and make the necessary decision, even when said decision is between her own confinement and Hapoc more trusted secret.
As always L.R.W. Lee writing style is excellent, mixing a multitude of genera into the story, the story has its own allure, and will surely appeal to hardcore paranormal fantasy fans, interested in somehow uneven relationships, and how these develop with time and experience. The three books together offer a wonderful insight into a very capable female character, who hides her insecurities behind her professional know-how and has to temporally lose her footing to become truly strong.
It just gets better and better. I literally had to force myself to put the book down, fore I needed to do silly adult things like work, sleep,, etc.. As the adventure continues you can't help but love these characters and how Pell is changing their whole world. She affects everyone she comes in contact with and more and more people, beings, creatures, etc. just fall in love with her. After the life she's had she's slowly becoming used to being adored. As she learns love herself she is causing Harpoc's team become more affectionate too. I absolutely love the twist with the Dream Realm. It will be exciting to see in the fourth book how they all come together: the Empire of Secrets, the Empire of Glass, and the Dream Realm. I hope we get to see some of our beloved characters from that previous serious. I hope Pell to reunites with her siblings and they find a way to work things out. Once again Mrs Lee took me on an emotional roller coaster. I just don't know how much more I can take. Tears of sadness and hapiness; anger at the audacity of some of these individuals' behaviors ... like seriously who do you think you are? I love the pixies ... especially since they get such a bad rap. I feel bad for Candor. Not being able to get the girl, but not knowing she's his sister either, not understanding that his father created all this chaos, and feeling like he was betrayed by the girl he so adores. It was just heartbreaking. And don't get me started on the Ancient One. Like I feel like this is a big game to him and he's just standing on the side lines to see who wins as he orchestrates these lives. The way he brought Harpoc and Pell together from infancy to adulthood is so crazy to me. Its like watching As The World Turns. It'll be exciting to see what happens with the fourth book. Eight weeks is a very long time. Great job Mrs Lee. I anxiously wait for the conclusion!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * In this installment we follow Pell in the Empire of Glass. She was kidnapped and Harpoc can't save her because secret magic doesn't work there. She can communicate with him through their bond. She has to uncover the secret about herself in order for Harpoc to save her. While she does this she is also spyjng for Secret. Trying to find out whois leaking Harpoc's sealed secrets. I liked the fat that Pell grows as anindividual and becomes stronger as a person. She loves herself more and more with the help of Harpoc and the maid Constance in Glass. I loved that Harpoc was very sweet and loving in this book but so etimes he felt a bit too overbearing. Finding out about the secret took upmost of the book. Which was fine because she didn't have much info to start wuth. Luckily the Tree of Wisdom knew what to give her. I did have some doubts about her friendship with Candor and Veracity. Candor was a bit too pushy towards Pell. I do hope in the last book their friendship will grow again.and I wonder if Pell's new secret will be discovered by Candor or Veracity.
I do think it went a bit fast fromsearching for her father to getting a message from the Ancient One saying she has to restore the balance.... I did predict Veritas would be her father and I'm soo glad it were Harpoc's eyes that comforted her all those years. I liked the waysheconfronted him about the fact he is her father and the deal she made with him at the end of the book.
So we also learn the Dream Realm has something to do with keaking the secrets. While I don't mind 2 series intertwining I do wonder if there will be spoilers for those who haven't read the Sand Maiden series yet.
I finished the book quickly and I enjoyed the story. 3.5 stars
What a ride ! We finally get some answers to really big secrets in this 3rd installments of the God of Secrets series and they are not what I was expecting AT. ALL. So good job to the author for surprising me.
We pick up right were we left off in book 2 which I really like. I also enjoy that this series is not only about the mysteries and discovering the origins of the leaks. It's also about Pell's personal growth and her self-confidence issues that she's learning to overcome. And she's come so far since book 1. I feel oddly proud and inspired by her for all that she's done and I really appreciate that Harpoc is her #1 cheerleader on this journey.
Harpoc and the Core were a bit less present that I would've liked but I still enjoyed having Pell as the "main" star of the show here. With all the information and new characters that were introduced in this book, I don't doubt that the finale of the series will be full of surprises and I'm ready for it all.
I received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review
I discovered LRW Lee when I found her Sand Maiden series, which I adore. Seriously it's so good. Well I have to say she has out done herself with this series, the God of Secrets.
At the end of the last book, Empire of Secrets, I could not wait to get my hands on the next book. My jaw dropped and I was so excited to see Empire of Glass hit the 'shelves'. And it really did not disappoint, we pick up right where the last left off. And I have to say the first few pages I was like, oh heck no.
Lee spins a tale of twists and turns, painful decisions and the characters really developing and finding out who they are. What I really love about this series is I have not found another quite like it, and that is hard to pull off but Lee does it so well. Her writing is superb and flawless. The characters in this book in particular have really come to life and you can almost imagine witting down with them and having coffee.
If you have not started this series yet I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed!
This is the third book of this amazing story of Pellucid and her love with Harpoc. I never dreamed that the beginning of this quiet little Pell who just loved to 'dig' to find things and stories... would turn into what and where she has in book 3, Empire of Glass! There is so much adventure, love, caring, learning, just to name a few things. If ever there was a deserving person of a family-less upbringing to have the loving life that it becomes, it is Pellucid! She has been thru so much, she is so caring, and she learned to protect oneself! This is a story that has added to and changed at many stages, but was buidling blocks to what was already said. Just when you think, 'well, that's it, this is where the story gets bland, and bla, bla, bla...' well... IT DOESN'T! It gets better, but in ways that you could not possibly imagine! Thank you L.R.W. Lee for another great read!
Pellucid Rose is slowly waking up to realize that she was kidnapped and is being held in the Empire of Glass. She doesn't know why she's there, but she knows that someone in Glass has been leaking secrets that can irreparably harm Harpoc. With her mate's support, she's going undercover to find who's responsible. She finds out that the ring she wears signifies that Glass is her home and excitement fills her as she thinks she just might be able to find her parents. It's not long before she is summoned by Veritas, the emperor of Glass, to see who she could be. Veritas shares the story of the creation of Harpoc and himself, and it's the same story that Harpoc had shared with her. Veritas embodies truth, but Pell has a strong feeling that he hasn't lived up to his name. As she searches for her family, Prince Candor and Princess Verity show her around Glass and she really wants Veritas' children to be friends, but a problem arises. Candor wants to be much more than friends. After visiting the Tree of Knowledge, Pell's life starts to become much clearer, the facts around her birth take an unexpected turn. This new insight into her past, was a secret that Harpoc had originally sealed. Did he know who she was all along? It's a spellbinding story with a fascinating ending and Harpoc and Pell are better than ever. Sarah Kisko does a wonderful job with the narration. Her voice is clear and dynamic and she uses just the right intonation and emotion to bring the characters to life.

This series is absolutely amazing, love Pell and Harpoc love story so much, but I also love it's not just about the secrets leak, but also about Pell and how she continues to grow and overcome her tough past. 💪👊🤗 With a lot of shocking twists and turns and new characters, this well written installment will keep you reading, non-stop and begging for more... 💯 recommended!!! 🥰💖
As engaging as the previous books. Read them first. The only negative is that it leaves you thirsty for more. I got this book through the voice over artist and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Explosive & Gut Wrenching Revelations Lead Us On This Ride!💥 Empire of Glass: God of Secrets, Book 3 By: LRW Lee 🎧 Audiobook Narrated By: Sarah Kisko Length: 8 hrs and 51 mins 📖 Ebook Read
Wow, this was a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish!😢😍 The narrator, whom I've gotten used to now, did a good job expressing all the emotions.👏 The conversation between Pell and Aura was particularly touching.😢
After waking in Glass, Pell soon comes to realise they think they 'saved' her from their enemy. She plays along with it because Harpoc, her mate, asks her to. She decides to try and discover anything she can about her past when the Emperor's daughter tells her about the tree of knowledge. It has the answers to everything.😳 She becomes fast friends with Princess Veracity and a Pixie, Lemony.
As she starts to slowly uncover the truth of her past, she becomes more hurt, angry & shocked!😔 She can only talk to Harpoc through their bond. It's not enough for either of them. She's struggling with those revelations and then the truth of how Glass is able discover then break bound Secrets is told to her as well!💔 On top of all of that, she genuinely likes the Prince & Princess of Glass, so feels guilty she's hiding the truth of Harpoc being her mate from them!😢
I loved the scenes between Pell & Aura. They were so emotionally charged and really gave us a great insight into this odd but kind member of the Core!😍 This book ends on one heck of a hook leading us into the next book. I'm so invested in these characters and their storylines that I can barely wait to get my grubby little hands on it.😍 This is a beautifully weaved & written story that brings so many elements together in exciting & fantastical ways. Each book just gets more gripping, romantic, and unmissable!😍⭐️
Yayyy! Things keep getting better and better. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it of course continue were the last one ended, amd now we are in the Empire of Glass. Here Pell will discover many secrets that have been hidden and she needs to uncover them in order for Harpoc to be able to go get her. We have some new characters that are great and some not so much... I loved Veracity, and Candor although after how things ended between him and Pall I am kind of wary about him. The best part is when Harp arrives at Glass, I was grinning from ear to ear and cheering him and Pell. I adored Ora, she's just so cute, and Pell iner minion and "Grace" they are so funny and make the story quite funny.
The narration is perfect, Sarah Kisko is so amazing bringing this story to life, she has different voices for each character, she portrais their personalities and emotions so well that listening to it is just a great experience.
I’m blown away!! I absolutely love this series!! This world & all of its characters are some of my favorites. It was so hard to put this book down when I had to, it’s not even funny. I highly recommend reading this book ❤️
I’m really enjoying this series. With so much going on you won’t get bored. There’s a whole new aspect of this world that will have you spinning. I can’t wait to see what happens next. An absolutely wonderful performance from Sarah.
Note to Pell: add self-defense to your list of training lessons.
Pell wakes up in an entirely different kingdom after being kidnapped (once again) by the soldiers of the Empire of Glass. No familiar surroundings. No close friends. No Harpoc. And no command over her magic. What an inconvenience! Or…is it? Was this whole fiasco orchestrated by The Ancient One so that Pellucid could discover the double-standard secret that keeps her in the dark? She’ll have to navigate the floating islands and attempt to find her roots from the Tree of Knowledge to see what she can spy on her own. If only she hadn’t caught the eye of a very distracting prince along the way. Answers need to be confessed or she may never get to return to her mate, and the empires may fall.
Once again, I’m absolutely thrilled with this story’s development. There are new characters to fall in love with and fawn over, old secrecies unveiled, and bigger ambiguities brought to light. You’ll find yourself rooting for both sides, now, with an edge-of-your-seat anticipation for a happy ever after.
Keep going! It’s right around the corner.
I must add (once again) that the narrator of the audiobook version keeps breathing fresh life into this story. Sarah Kisko masterfully voices everyone – from pixies to potentates – and makes them all come alive in the most delightful ways.
FAVORITE QUOTES: Hopefully Cupid doesn’t suffer memory loss issues with his advanced age—one of his arrows already found my heart… and I couldn’t be happier. Put another way, keep your damn arrows to yourself when it comes to Candor, ya naked, winged baby.
🌠🌠ONE TURBULENT JOURNEY🌠🌠 Frying fritters! Lee hit the motherload with this tumultuous rollercoaster, laying out some brutal facts, gut-wretching lessons and ruthless pursuits grabbing you from the start and holding steady until the end, hurling this jewel to staggering heights. Throw in 100% on point realism, raising the stakes with such graphic scenarios that are so colorfully descriptive and vividly detailed its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Incredible job Lee, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.
So.. let's start from the beginning, shall we? We start off, again, where L.R.W. Lee left us at the end of Empire of Secrets. Who, in their right mind, would EVER write a plot twist at the beginning of the first few chapters? That had me interested. Even though not a lot happened in this book in the form of adventure and danger, there is a lot of character building done for Pellucid. We see her transforming from the being we got to know in Empire of Secrets to a stronger, more independent female. Other than that I can't say too much about it, that would spoil the important parts, but it was interesting to see how everything got together in the end. This book had me reading in the middle of the night when sleep eluded me. And for a physical book, it took me way less time to read than other books would have. Oh, right! Ye be warned; there's smut. Muhahaha.
So overall it is a book that starts off with a few twists here and there to get you involved in reading it. And even though the action from the first two books isn't really there, there's character building that Pellucid really needed. It is a good read that prepares the storyline for the next book in the series. I can not wait!
I really want to love this, but there is just somthing missing from this story. It lacks plot or at least fast paced plot. It is a shame because the world building is decent and I absolutely love the cover art!
Empire of Glass is the third book in the Gods of Secrets series by L.R.W. Lee, and I enjoyed it so immensely. It’s a non-stop action book that leaves you breathless. Once again, you pick up right where book 2 leaves off and Pell has more self-discovery, love, and family found in this book. This book will seriously leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat. I seriously cannot wait to read where Pell’s story goes next, I'm just so sad it's the last book!
