Sachin Chauhan is an Indian author best known for the bestselling books “The Struggle of My Life” and “Inevitable Karma”.
His writing explores resilience, karma, life struggle, and the unseen realities behind success. Rooted in real-life experiences yet universally relatable, his work connects with readers across cultures.
The Struggle of My Life has been featured in a national-level competitive examination in India, marking a rare milestone for a contemporary author.
A recurring theme in his work is captured in a line from Inevitable Karma: “Nature doesn’t keep anyone’s debt and allows no one to owe her.”
I bought this book from International Book Fair New Delhi. The book is about life of a small town young guy, his family, dream, choice of career, love, college life etc. Book is a mix of emotions. While reading this book, reader will sometimes laugh and sometimes cry based upon the situations.
USP of the book is that every small town guy will be able to relate each & every incident of book with either his life or with someone around him. Use of hindi poems/ couplets / one-liners make it more lively.
हुई मुद्दत कि 'ग़ालिब' मर गया पर याद आता है वो हर एक बात पर कहना के यूँ होता तो क्या होता
I didn’t want to post a review of a book where the writing threw me off badly from the start - but I took it on as a challenge to finish the book and in the process got hooked on to the story the author was trying to share, not looking at how it was written - and surprisingly I got emotional at the end which made me to want to write a review.
What stood out to me, the most was the way, the narrator of the story was woven into the narrative, that I sometimes forgot he was a human being at the end of the day, who is going through first love and all the emotions of his are in a roller coaster going along with him which brought things into perspective about the way it was written, that I stopped having any more complaints about it.
The ending was surprising but also not new as dogmas of society are so etched that close family remain close minded even though they love us with all their hearts.
Hindi poetry was a nice touch by the author, added at most important moments.
When the ending happened, what brought me to tears was the narrator- I didn’t realise I got emotionally connected to him, a pure soul who got into a situation despite it not being his fault. I might read the next book of the author- let’s see 🤪.
