If I Were a Major League Baseball Player
If I were a Major League baseball player, I would smack the ball out of the park! I would scoop up a grounder and throw out the runner. Dream big, and see what fun it is to be a Major League baseball player.

This nonfiction book is all about what major league baseball players do and, like the title says, what it would be like to be a baseball player. This book has bright and colorful pictures and a narrative that will keep kid's attention. I really liked the added fact "bubbles" that could be read if children wanted to learn more beyond the storyline. The glossary and "to learn more" sections at the end of the book are also useful.

3.75 Stars If you like baseball, this is the book for you! I love the illustrations and I like that it talks about different aspects of baseball. I also like that it teaches how to become a professional baseball player. Sometimes we think professional athletes woke up one day and said "Hey I am an awesome baseball player" When in fact it takes a lot of time practice, healthy diet, etc etc. It also talks about being on the road and staying at hotels a lot...that is the unglamorous life of a pro player!
