Soar!: A Children's Book About Overcoming

SOAR! is about a 7-year-old boy who lives with his 4 siblings and father in inner city Chicago and comes from humble beginnings. He experiences both positive and negative influences in his environment and is often judged by the color of his skin. Though the negative influences in his life are strong, he comes to appreciate how special he truly is, and the royalty and power in his bloodline. This realization helps him to overcome the circumstances in his life, and ultimately allows him to influence other BIPOC boys and men. If your child is struggling to rise above adversity, then this the perfect book for you.

BOOK REVIEW
SOAR!: A Children's Book About Overcoming By DeAnna Lynn

SOAR! is all about dreams, hope, self-discovery, and self-acceptance. This book gives positive hope to children to dream big and encourages them to overcome their negative thoughts.
This story is about a 7-year-old boy, who is happy with his friends, they all cook together, watch television and party together, on the other side, there is so much negativity in-home and school, but he chooses to learn from others. He said I'm strong enough to make my own choices. I want to learn and grow.
SOAR! is an inspirational book for Afro children that encourages them to follow the footsteps of great people, believe in their dreams, and achieve success in life.
Illustrations are colorful, vibrant, and give a feel like a comic book. I recommend this book to every parent out there so you can read this book with your children and encourage them to dream big.
If your child is struggling to rise above adversity, then this is the perfect book for you.

Wow!

I never read a book like this before. This book had Phenomenal illustrations. The main thing I love about this the it spoke truth and got straight to the point. Most children deal with these type of situations on a regular basis and most Times their feelings and emotions are overlooked. The only place a child can express themselves in school is by acting up. Families aren’t what they used to be.I Dont want to tell the story but this book was DEEP And POWERFUL... Wow I'm lost for word

Wonderful read!

I thoroughly enjoyed the variations in styles of hair and diversity of characters. Exceptional read for those who experience complex circumstance, but still believe in what they can achieve. Other than slight difficulty reading, and following the text, this read is very informative.

SOAR! A Children's Book About Overcoming is an excellent book to teach boys of color about stereotype and Adversity. This book shows exmples of negative and positive experiences that families may experience. It highlights your choice of being willing to learn, grow, build worth and character. This will allow you to see the king in you and SOAR.
