A fine play. Short. Deals with infertility, pregnancy, miscarriage and abortion, how these things impact a woman and her family. Set in a single flat, and at the end, the main couple runs out of it in the spur of a moment, breaking free of its confines as well as their long and failed efforts at conceiving a baby. I also liked the plant element. It definitely means something, but what? I might ponder that one. Maybe it’s that despite everything, the couple can produce and sustain life. Maybe it’s a reminder that there are always other things to live for. Maybe it’s a reminder that unlike the wife, the husband might still have a bio baby, and in the end he chooses the wife anyway, when he leaves the flat and the plants with it. Two times, the characters made a very decent, human decision, when I wasn’t expecting them to, and it made me feel things.

A good quick read.
