The ending of this book felt a little abrupt, but overall that was a fun and engaging story, and I’m curious to see where the next part goes.

Part 3 of the series.

Charity Waits has to make new allies to be able to stop the plans of her true enemy. Naturally, this leads her to the enemies of her House. Can she stop hostilities from breaking out between these new allies and her old friends?

This third episode (This series feels like watching a weekly TV show more than reading a series of novels.) wraps up the story arc that started in the first book. Charity will still have plenty of adventures left since she doesn't complete her magical training, but the fight that has been coming finally happens and it comes with a big bang. There were plenty of twists so I wasn't sure where everything was going. I also enjoyed the take on the latest Tarot teacher. You do need the previous books to fully enjoy this book,

All three books in this series are short (around 120 pages) and it would be nice to see all three parts combined into a single omnibus edition.
