Sooooo apparently this was an erotica.... I can't say I was happy to realise that. I skipped the majority of the sex scenes, which took place after every other page. It got old fast, repetitive and, franctly, tiring. I wanted some character developement, some relationship connection outside of sex, some more depth to the personalities.

I haven't read the first book in the series and even though I wasn't lost and could follow the plot, I don't think this should be read as a standalone.

The idea that a sub would make eveything he could to keep his Dom's attention and extent their time together was intriguing and it was what made me want to read the book in the first place. In the end, though, the relationship dynamic was a little weird. I appreciated that the sub wasn't always pliant and just following along to the Dom's wants but pushed back, demanting to get what he wanted and he was even the aggressor at times. This is also what confused me about them, though. Aidan, the Dom, at times seemed lost about how to handle Kyle, his sub.

The scenes where either both or just Kyle were at the club and were interacting with their friends and acquaintances were some of the most interesting in the book. Sadly, there weren't a lot of them, but I loved what little we got to see. I wish there were more of them, but there's still time as the series isn't over.

I think the cover was a very nice touch. The handcuffs play a very important role in Kyle's life and, by extension, in the plot too. It's a design that cleverly catches the theme of the book.

I very much enjoy this author's writing. This instalment had several moments of brilliance depicting Kyle's intense desire, want and need to be chosen, selected; to become that one special person in someone else's life. His struggles to temper his overwhelming emotional drive felt very real. I've never seen it written even half as good in any other romance novel before. Those emotions gave me goose bumps reading.

Compared to Eradani's earlier serial, which I consistently 4- and 5-starred, this story lacks something. More plot around the steam, and more tension pushing the storytelling forward into page-turner territory. Still, this author is on my auto-buy shortlist, and I look forward to future stories to come.

I felt almost as Kyle... denied to... hear them say the L word... it was there, but not in reach...
It was hard to experience.. The anticipation was just killing... all those feelings!

Excellent story in all the possible ways... excellent written, excellent bdsm, excellent buildup, excellent personalities, excellent surroundings, excellent developed, excellent delaying, excellent conversations, excellent amount of depth, details and all those wonderful emotions.

It’s that kind of story I never want it to end, I’m happy there is a next one waiting!

So yes I loved it, like I love ALL Tamryn Eradani’s books. This was part two of a series

This is an absolutely lovely series. A very specific type of D/s relationship told completely from the the sub's point of view. Kyle's emotions are all over the place and Tamryn Eradani does a fantastic job of following his thoughts as he processes his growing relationship with Aidan.

I'm glad the third installment of this series is out so I don't have to wait to see what's next for these two.

I received an advance copy of this book, and I feel so conflicted because I loved the first book in this series so much. But this one left me feeling like I was not the intended audience for this book. It is listed as erotica, though, and there is definitely that.

Kyle and Aiden are established first in To Seek and To Find. There was a clear plot, in which Kyle found something he liked in Aiden, and took steps to try to catch his eye.

In this book, there isn't even that much plot holding things together. These two characters have lengthened their scene partner to a three month trial. They certainly try a lot of things in that time, but there isn't a clear indication of what Aiden is thinking might happen beyond that. Mostly because Kyle never asks, and Aiden never starts the conversation.

I also found the character of Kyle difficult to like, which was especially hard given how much I identified with him in the last book. Here, he seems pushy, very obviously prioritising what he wants above what Aiden wants to give. He offers service at times, but never before asking whether it's a service that Aiden would like. This would be fine, if Aiden ever took him up on it.

The story gives us cues to see that what is on the page is deliberate, however. Kyle comments to another friend at the club that the two of them are just two guys, rather than in a dynamic, at various points. At another time, Kyle observes that every time they see each other, they have amazing sex, or talk about having just had amazing sex.

Because I didn't see the on page connection between these characters, the sex came across as lacklustre to me, but I'm aware that that is not a requirement for all erotica readers, so I am declining to give this review a starred rating based on that.

DNF. Just like the first book in this series, the story started really slowly. Unlike the first book, this one stayed boring until I just gave up at about 80%. I've marked my bdsm shelf, but only because the characters portray themselves as D/s. Unfortunately I didn't really think it was.

To Have and to Hold picks up shortly after To Seek and to Find in the Enchanting Encounters series. Project Notice Me was a success and Kyle got Aiden’s attention. Things are going so well that they have extended their contract and so in this second book, we see the guys continue spending time together, doing scenes and developing their relationship.

For me, the thing that works best about this book (and perhaps this series) is also the thing I struggled with the most. What I really enjoyed is how well we really sink into Kyle’s story here. We are solely in his POV and I feel like we really get a great sense of Kyle, who he is, and what he wants. The story is told in third person, present tense, which honestly isn’t the easiest style for me to settle into, but I think it works here as it gives us an immediacy to Kyle’s POV that complements the focus of the story. This series thus far is definitely Kyle’s journey and Eradani does a great job getting us in his head and helping us to understand his desires and his feelings. Kyle is a likable guy, a bit arrogant at times, but with a vulnerability that balances it out nicely. So I find him an entertaining narrator for this series and this once again had me rooting for his happiness.

I adored the first book in the series, so I had high expectations for this one. While I don't feel like this installment packed quite as much of a punch, it was still a very enjoyable read. This was again written in third person, present tense. Somehow, it still didn't bother me. I think in some ways, it let me sink more into Kyle's mental space. I never thought I'd say that about a story written in present tense.

There's something about the way Tamryn wrote Kyle that really spoke to me. I felt like I was sinking into subspace with him at times, and when he felt at peace, I was right there with him. I loved how needy (never annoyingly so) Kyle was and how Aidan responded to him. Kyle is an extremely well-written character.

What I felt was lacking was Aidan's characterization. In the first installment, I found him intriguing and somewhat mysterious. This time, it felt like something was missing for me. If there is a third book in the series, I would love to see Aidan's POV.

Hopefully we'll get some of the stories of the other patrons of Enchanting Encounters. I've fallen in love with everyone, even though we don't see too much of them in this story.

I have to give major props to this author on a totally off-topic subject. She manages to avoid pronoun swapping 100% of the time. They were just Kyle and Aidan, never the taller man, the shorter man, the younger man, the brunette, etc. Yes!!!!

This is a must-read for those who were in love with the first book. Don't try to read this as a stand-alone though!

One of the best series I’ve ever read that really gets into the head of an experienced submissive and makes you believe it, FEEL it. The way Kyle struggles with separating reality from fantasy in his head is super authentic. I can’t wait for the 3 book in this series so I can read the first 2 over again.

As a direct continuation of book one, To Have and To Hold let the reader follow up how Kyle and Aidan explore their new relationship and display the expansion of their Dom/sub partnership.

I really liked how the character development was visible, for some maybe too subtle, but enough for me to see the differences, even if parts of Aiden are still in the dark and we see more from Kyle and get his feelings and his wants and needs, although it's not written in first person, but third person present tense.

I was hooked by the sensual, erotic scenes, the play between the two was great but my only complain is that Kyle opens up a bit more than Aiden, at least it feels like it and therefore my heart went several times towards Kyle when Aiden put a stop in a few scenes. A few times I felt the balance was off but it was more my personal feeling - mixed with the mutual rejection and disappointment Kyle is feeling in those scenes. :)

The book was a great display on how a pair can grow into a new relationship, especially a unique partnership like the one they have. How easy some parts are, how fragile others are, what it means to share and explore not just the bed and their bodies (or parts of it) with each other but open up on a more personal level. ;)

For me, Aiden is an interesting character, one I can't read properly yet, and sometimes he comes across as reluctant but in fact he is exploring the limits with and for Kyle, which I really like. He is a pretty considerate character and his feelings for Kyle aren't this exuberant as Kyle's (where Kyle could come across as bragging and a bit bratty) but he's caring deeply for him, a trait I really worship.

The journey of the two guys isn't over yet and I'm more than curious what the author has planned for them next. :) 5 out of 5 stars for this book. :)

I have to be honest in saying that I did not readthe first book in this series so I missed the build up between the two main characters. So for that reason right there may be why I could not really get into this book and the two characters.

This book starts with Kyle and Aiden extending their previous contract of two weeks to three months. Aiden in my opinion seems to be the type of man that holds his cards and feelings close to his chest and he does not open up unless you specifically ask for him too or ask the right questions to him.

Kyle on the other hand has all these expectations of what he wants out of his relationship, or in my opinion lack there of relationship. It is almost as if he expects Aiden to know what he wants and when he wants it. In my opinion Kyle is a bit on the selfish side. He has all the expectations of how he wants his and Aidens relationship to turn from BDSM to love as well but he does not voice his opinion on this but at the same time expects Aiden to automatically feel the same way.

This book in my opinion is more erotica and less of an actual plot though I am not sure if that is what the author intended. This was a decent read but it was not my favorite. I am more of a person that likes having both a plot to the story and the erotica as well. So Todd that reason I give this book a 3 Star.

I will in the future try more of Tamryn Eradani’s books. I will not base whether I read another book by an author based off of whether I like a particular book or not.

Kyle and Aidan are now in an exclusive 3 months D/s relationship. Now that they are seeing each other outside of the club, there are new rules that need to be worked out. They are working together to find who they are as couple.

Lines start to get blurred. Kyle finds himself wanting to do nice things for Aidan. That isn't a typical thing for their arrangement.

I love Kyle and the way that the author developed and wrote him. I can really feel what he is feeling at times and understand him. However, I never really connect with Aidan. I don't know that I fully understand him in this installment.

I find the sex scenes to be very well developed. It is pure BDSM in a realistic setting. I love that the author finds such a meaningful message behind Kyle's cuffs. I love that Kyle is able to find what he wants by learning to ask for what he wants and who to ask. I also like that although Kyle likes exhibitionism, he is fine with not asking Aidan to do something he's not familiar with.

I hurt for Kyle when he falls for Aidan and doesn't know how Aidan feels about him. They start finding more ways to fit into each other's lives and growing closer. And that exclusive L word is so close.

Overall, I enjoyed To Have and To Hold. It is worth reading if you have some time.

This is part 2 in the Enchanting Encounters series.

Tamryn Eradani's second book in the Enchanting Encounters series, To Have and to Hold brings a deeper understanding of the dynamics between Kyle and Aidan, as well as Kyle's fears and insecurities.

After their two week trial period was a success, Kyle and Aidan take the next step to try for a longer trial period. While they are in a scene things seem perfect, but once they are out, Kyle starts having feelings. Unsure of whether Aidan wants more than just a Dom/sub relationship, Kyle pushes against him and his commands.

I absolutely love Kyle and Aidan as a couple, and as a Dom/sub pairing. They are opposites. Aidan, a quiet controlling professor and Kyle, a outspoken, attention seeking graphic designer. Their chemistry together is intense before feelings are involved, but add those pesky emotions to the mix and whoo-ee, that fire burns hot.

I enjoyed this second book far better than the first and look forward to the next. I'm still holding hope that we get Aidan's POV at some point; the sooner, the better.

First thing I am gonna say, do not read this book out of order. If you do this won't be the book for you. Cause the author assumes you know the world, you know the characters, and you know semi about the plot established in the first book.
To Have and To Hold is the second book in the Enchanting Encounters series by author Tamryn Eradani. To be honest I loved the first book so much this book was a huge letdown.

Kyle and Aiden had a lot of sex in this book. Not a lot of plot but hey it is okay. They have a three-month trial now a BDSM contract. There were so many holes for me in their relationship. Neither one of them come off in a good light. They are pretty flawed, and not in a likable way. I would read more in this series because I want the chemistry and love from the first book to come back. This one is good does advance their relationship, and moves them forward. However, if you are like me and adored the first book this one is going to be a letdown. Just a totally different tone to it.

Kyle and Aidan have pushed their contract from two weeks to three months, and with it their comfort levels rises. Scenes are not just at the club, Kyle finally gets to feed Aidan like he's dreamed of.

Feelings always complicates things and though things are brewing and nothing is spelled out loud it's there to be seen. And even more so when they have a week apart, causing insecurities to take hold.

And I find Kyle to be brave in this book, even though his thoughts spiral out of control he manages to push something rational together and see Aidan's words and actions for what they are and not what they seem.

There is plenty of sexual content in this book, which is natural as it is a D/S contract, meaning to explore if they are compatible in every way. But the content isn't explicit, it's sweet and exciting.

I have to mention my favourite part, which had me laughing even before it fully started and long after. Kyle's devious plan to finally get Aidan to get out of his clothes.

So… Kyle was successful in his plan to get noticed by Aiden and in this second installment the two men are in a three-month contract to make sure that they click. The problem for Kyle is that he’s continuing to do more than just click. He’s having feelings…the kind of feelings that make him question what Aiden actually wants from him.

When Aiden becomes busy and withdraws from Kyle, the time spent apart doesn’t go well in terms of Kyle’s confidence. He sees the time apart as a warning of an upcoming breakup and tries to separate himself a little bit from Aiden. The problem is that once he’s in the presence of his Dom, he finds it almost impossible to keep any distance between them.

This series keeps getting better

This book is a study of delayed gratification for the reader. The MCs are in a great relationship but having read so many M/M books that were insta-love, it feels like these guys are moving so slow (real life pace). Really great series-highly recommend.

I love the first book of this series, To Seek and to Find, because it's BDSM erotica that is grounded in reality. Members of the club Enchanting Encounters form a loving community of kinksters and I was so happy to rejoin them.

Just as in book one we follow Kyle and Aidan, who have decided that their two week-old relationship deserves a three month extension. They're still figuring out what they like, visiting each other's apartments for the first time, and passing muster with best friends and neighbors.

I really like the BDSM itself. The meaning Kyle's cuffs take on, conversations in the club, a rope bondage scene with Kyle's neighbor - I'm here for all of it. Some are carryovers from and callbacks to the first book and I like how the narrative thread isn't being dropped. People at the club, in particular, are being fleshed out and I hope they'll get their own stories going forward.

The sex is sweet and scenes varied, but there's precious little plot holding them together. I'm glad there's no Big Misunderstanding, but I wanted a bit more there there. New chapters often start with a jump in time and change of place that left me at sea. And some things just didn't make sense - Aidan lives in a duplex supplied by his employer but the neighbors have free run of his kitchen for reasons I can't discern.

If you don't like the third person present you may be put off but it doesn't bother me. Despite the more objective standpoint, though, we never get deep into Aidan's head. I didn't mind it for the first book - a touch of mystery! room to grow! - but I'm having a hard time connecting to our Dom hero without it.

All in all a decent if slightly slumpy second book in the series. That being said there's a teaser for book three and I like the direction Eradani is headed.
